Is it almost Fall

Little Jayden, is now 1 yr old and walking

Well maybe my electric bill will go down, because school has started and I can maybe turn off the air conditioning.

Susie is back in school, at Sky View, as a junior. She is not in the cross country this year, because this summer she completed her training as a CNA and just got a job at Legacy House, an Assisted Living Center. Really nice, she says it is like a hotel. She sometimes works in the Cottage area, for those people who have dementia or alzheimers.

She got to practice her training on me this summer as I was recuperating from another total Hip Replacement. My right hip, so now I have two new hips. Now if I could just take care of the nueropathy in my feet. Hmm... something that I will have to learn to live with, unless some Dr. comes up with slick way of reversing the numbness.

This summer has been eventful, in that I started out the summer getting my hip done and figured I would be recuperating most of the summer, so that is the reason for the air conditioning bill. Yak.
Susie is finding out that working and going to school is not too fun, especially when it cuts into your fun time with friends. She seems to like boys, although she says she doesn't like anyone special. But she will have to do alot of talking to convince me of that.

Sarah has helped Dirk all summer get ready for his mission, and he finally got his papers in and just got his call. He is going to go to Brazil. Sarah cried and is now realizing the reality of it. Two years is a long time, and a sacrafice for both of them to be apart. They have dated for 4 years and so this will be a test of their relationship. I think they have a pretty good foundation and it will be good for both of them. He leaves in December, so they still have some planning to do and some time to be together. Sarah is getting ready to get back into school and will be starting back at USU next week. She is still working at the Bank of Utah and is trying to sell the Jeep, to get a less expensive car, for the gas prices are too high.

Benjamin is living in Richmond with Rod, so we don't see him alot. Once in awhile he will drop by because he is bored. He is working for his Dad in construction and not into school yet. I am still hoping he will get himself into school some day. He is talking to his Grandpa about the possibility of building a house in Richmond, next to his dad. Probably a good idea, with as expensive as houses are becoming. The sooner he can get into one the better off he would be. He is dating several difference girls and just is not all sure what he wants to be, do or have when he "grows up."

He is not sure about this dating thing and wonders if he will find someone he could spend eternity with. He says that is a long time, so he is just not sure about finding the right person.

Tomorrow is a different story. He is pretty funny to listen to. I told him I could relate to this business of being single. It isn't too fun to go places alone, but I am not sure I want it any different right now

Jonathan and Brittany are getting excited, it won't be long, 2+months and they will not be just the two of them any more. They are going to have a little baby boy sometime towards the end of Oct. or maybe sooner. I am excited because having Grandkids is what I live for. Oh and they have a new addition they got this summer. Ace, isn't he cut.

Last week I was able to get a condo over in Bear Lake and take the kids, Christopher,Nicole and my grandkids over. Susie was able to get work off and come too. Sarah, Dirk and Benjamin came over for just Sunday night and we all celebrated Jaxon's birthday. We had the traditional birthday cake, Jaxon's favorite, chocolate cake without frosting. It had chocolate chips and strawberries, so it was very yummy. We got the candle blowing, no matches. So we sang "Happy Birthday" and when we were done, Jaxon blew out the flameless candles. What a kid, he was so funny. It was great.

Monday we spent the day at the beach and silly me, exposed my lilly white feet and legs and of course they got burnt. That on top of the nueropathy, well all I can say is I will not do that again any time soon.

It was so great just to have that time with my kids, I can not express the words at how that felt. My heart just swells with joy. Even though I made it difficult for my Susie to sleep those two nights, it was a great time during the days.

This will have to be our family tradition. I am in the process of reserving the condo again for next summer. This has been the greates thing I have ever done, being able to bring my kids together in one common place for some fun and family times.

We got home and Jaxon started his first day of school and that is a milestone to remember.

Well all is well in the Andeson family and I look forward to a new grandbaby in the fall and the hollidays that are upon us. Coming up, we have Mykenzie's birthday in September on the 4th and then my Birthday, I don't count anymore at the end of September. Then our next great event is the arrival of a new Anderson. A little Jonathan, no, I don't know his name yet, but I am so excited. I will have 4 grandchildren, 3 boys and 1 cute little princess, Mykenzie.

The Hollidays begin, Halloween and then Thanksgiving and my favorite, Christmas. So everyone have a happy fall and holliday season and watch for more to come. I am new at this blogging thing and have not done a great job in keeping up. Hope the rest of my family will start theirs, because what a great way to keep in touch with our growing families.

Love to all,

Janet

Summer is coming

Well June 1st will be here before you know it and Elder Benjamin C Anderson will be home. What a guy. He is told us that he has loved his mission and has really focused on what he was there to do. He said he was excited to come home, but it was weird, because he said, "I don't feel like its really going to come, it doesn't seem real. This is my life, a missionary! I guess the Lord is helping me stay focused!"

He says he feels great strength and power in who he has become.

Well we have been truly blessed to have him serve. I know the Lord has blessed me and it has been a blessing in my life to have him serve the Lord and make that 2 year sacrifice in his life. Benjamin has served in the Winnipeg Canada Mission and I am so proud of all three of my sons who served with honor and grew in stature and spirit for having done so.

Susie has just about completed her first year of high school and has made the Honorary Honor Roll. She competed in the SkyView Cross Country team and worked hard at doing the hurdles this year. She has done pretty good as you can see in her jumping.

Susie got her Driver's license in Dec 2006 and her Dad gave her a car, so she has been on cloud nine. She had her first formal dance in Febuary and wow, doesn't she look great. I will have to have Benjamin tie her up when he gets home, and beat off all the young men.

Susie's summer will be full as she is going to go to Bridgerland and take CNA classes and is looking for a part time job. So I may have to find someone to mow the lawns as she is off and running. Her life is pretty busy and I barely get to say hi and she is off again.

Sarah has been out of high school a year now and has completed one semister of classes at USU. She works everyday at the bank and keeps herself running and I might see her once or twice a day if I am lucky. I feel like we live in a girls dormatory and everyone is running except me. She is getting ready to send her boyfriend of 4 years off on a Mission. So that is a great sacrifice on both her and Dirk's part, to serve the Lord and work to be together 2 years later.
Sarah is going back to school at USU in the fall and is certainly not sure what she wants to do. She has thought about selling some of her art work and I think she could do real well, Take a look at some of her work.

These are just a few of the many pictures she has done. She works in pencil, and in prisma color pencils. The first picture is a Dodge Viber engine, done in color pencil, and the other two are pencil.

She is thinking about setting up a booth at the Cruise In this summer and seeing if she can sell some of her pictures. She is very good and I of course taught her all I know lol lol lol. She could make some money selling her pics at the Cruise IN. She has several of cars and if she were to take some pictures of old model cars, and draw them, she could possibly make some good money on the side.

Christopher has his own blog and everyone should visit it, and see the cute pictures of the kids.

These are my cute grandkids, Jaxon age 4, Mykenzie age 3, and Jayden is 9 months. They were expecting in Dec. and had a miscarriage and that was very sad for all of us.

Their blog site is http://chrisandnik.blogspot.com It is fun to have these updates and see how the kids grow.

Jonathan and Brittany are expecting in October and that is exciting for them. They have a cat and now a puppy, a Dalmation. It won't be a puppy for long. Pretty soon it will be a big dog, but for now it is really cute.

Well that is all the news up to date. As for me, I am headed to surgery again. My right hip is just about gone. I am told it won't last 6 months, so I am going in next month, June to have a total hip replacement. Then it probably won't be long after that, I will need my Right knee done and then my left knee. I am falling apart and I am too young for all this. Financially, well I have bumpy roads ahead and that is the scarey part. For at least a year or so. In any case, I am a survivor and some how things will be okay. Not sure how, but they will be.

God bless everyone for now. Enjoy life, we only go around once.

Stay tune for family history updates. Anyone out there working on Genealogy idea?
